Beckie Prange

Beckie assists with initiating and implementing research projects at HWRC as well as managing on-site lodging and involvement in all things HWRC generally. 

Beckie comes to HWRC from a varied background, with a BA in Biology/Ecology from Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois; a Graduate Certificate in Natural Science Illustration from University of California in Santa Cruz, California; and interrupted coursework toward a Natural Resource Technology Associates Degree at Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minnesota. Her experience includes work in wildlife, silviculture, invasive species management, LiDAR and GIS, and children's book illustration. Other experience includes stints in park maintenance, fish cannery, factory, culinary, and secretarial work, and many Quetico Provincial Park and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness canoe trips.
